Who We Are

SMH-CRC stands for South March Highlands Carp River Conservation, Inc. SMH-CRC was incorporated in May 31, 2021 under the Ontario Corporations Act and is the legal arm of the Coalition to Protect the South March Highlands. We are a not-for-profit organization with thousands of supporters from across Ottawa, Canada and internationally. The growing awareness of the South March Highlands is further evidenced by the over 14,000 votes received in 2012 during the Canadian Planning Institute’s “Great Places in Canada” contest. With help and support from the public and other environmental groups across the City and Canada, we are working to preserve the unique eco-system of the South March Highlands and the adjacent Carp River floodplain.

The corporation entity is non-functional at this time.
